Social Media Officer

MaltaPost plc is seeking to recruit a dedicated Social Media Officer to join our management team. The successful applicant will play a leading role in the company's interactions with the public through social media platforms using unified messaging that includes the creation and implementation of content strategies whilst collecting engagement data.

The Social Media Officer will mainly be performing the following duties:

a.      Design and implement a social media strategy to align with business goals

b.      Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content

c.      Perform research on existing benchmark trends and audience preferences

d.      Set specific objectives and report on ROI

e.      Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics

f.       Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency

g.     Communicate with followers, respond to comments  in a timely manner and              monitor customer reviews.

h.      Be responsible for social media accounts' design.

i.       Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness.

j.      Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design             tools and applications

 

Requirements and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

a.      Proven work experience as a Social media manager

b.      Hands on experience in content management

c.      Excellent writing and design skills

d.      Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

e.      Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

f.       Knowledge of online marketing channels

g.      Familiarity with web design

h.      Excellent communication skills

i.       Analytical and multitasking skills

Preference will be given to candidates who have 1st Degree and or a Masters Degree in a relevant field.
