Philately Stamp Issue - SEPAC 2024 - Main Tourist Attractions

MaltaPost is a member of the Small European Postal Administrations Cooperation (SEPAC), an association of 13 European postal authorities. Each year, a joint stamp issue bearing a common theme is launched by all member countries. The theme chosen for 2024 is "Main Tourist Attractions". In this regard, MaltaPost is launching a set of four stamps depicting popular tourist attractions in Malta and Gozo. All photography is by Daniel Cilia, one of Malta's foremost photographers.

The €0.45 stamp portrays an aerial view of Mġarr Harbour. The Mosta Dome, one of Malta's largest and most famous churches, is featured on the €0.65 stamp. The €1.91 stamp shows a panoramic view captured from inside Mixta Cave in Nadur, Gozo. The inside of the Blue Grotto sea caverns feature on the €3.85 stamp.

This set will be issued in a sheet of 10 stamps, with each stamp measuring 44mm x 31mm, with a comb perforation of 13.9 x 14.0 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The sheets measure 185mm x 118mm and were produced by Printex Ltd in the offset process. The issue consists of 300,000 of the €0.45 stamp, 50,000 of the €0.65 stamp, 60,000 of the €1.91 stamp and 50,000 of the €3.85 stamp.

The stamps will be available from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo from Monday 16 September 2024. Kull sena, titnieda ħarġa konġunta ta' bolli b'tema komuni mill-pajjiżi membri kollha. It-tema magħżula għall-2024 hija "Attrazzjonijiet Turistiċi Ewlenin". F'dan ir-rigward, MaltaPost qed tniedi sett ta' erba' bolli li juru attrazzjonijiet turistiċi popolari f'Malta u Għawdex. Il-bolla ta' €1.91 turi veduta panoramika meħuda minn ġewwa l-għar ta'Mixta fin-Nadur, Għawdex, u fuq il-bolla ta' €3.85 hemm veduta interna tal-għerien tal-"Blue Grotto" ġewwa ż-Żurrieq.

Dan is-sett jinħareġ f'folja ta' għaxar bolli, b'kull bolla ta' daqs 44mm x 31mm, b'perforazzjoni ta' 13.9 x 14.0 u għandha "watermark" bis-salib ta' Malta. Kull folja hija ta' daqs 185mm x 118mm u ġiet stampata minn Printex Limited bi proċess offset.
