MaltaPost p.l.c. will be participating in the 16th Maltex Philatelic Exhibition which is being organised by the Malta Philatelic Society and supported by MaltaPost.

For this special event the Philatelic Bureau will be issuing an Occasion Card, a Postal Card, and Personalised Stamp/Cover. The Occasion Card shows the Wignacourt Arch from the Treasure of Malta series issued in April 2015. The Postal Card depicts the typical Maltese toy which was very popular with children in the past - the Cart (Karretta) from the stamp issue Europa 2015 "Old Toys". The Personalised Cover features the Maltex Logo.

Both cards will be available in mint and cancelled condition as from Friday 23 October from the MaltaPost stand at the Maltex Exhibition, all Post Offices, and from the Philatelic Bureau. A temporary letter box service will also be provided during the opening hours of the Exhibition. The cards and mail posted will be cancelled with the Maltex special handstamp inscribed Maltex 2015 23-25 October Hotel Phoenicia - Floriana - Malta. The special hand stamp will carry the Logo of the Exhibition.

The Maltex 2015 Philatelic Exhibition will be held at the Phoenicia Hotel Floriana and will be open to the general public on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October between 09.00 and 18.00 and on Sunday 25 October between 09.00 and 12.00. The artist Joe Micallef who designed the stamp set Europa 2015 "Old Toys "will be in attendance on Friday 23 Oct between 10.00am and 12.00am and Saturday 24 between 9.00am to 12.00am.
