MaltaPost will be participating in a EuroMed Postal Union philatelic issue, themed ‘Traditional Gastronomy in the Mediterranean' with a set of three stamps.
Maltese gastronomy is closely linked to our long relationship with outside cultures. Although traditional Maltese food is seasonal and rustic, both our history and geography have made our gastronomy eclectic, allowing us to ‘borrow' from Italian, Maghreb and other cuisines.
The stamps will be issued in a sheet of 10 stamps, with each stamp measuring 44mm x 31mm, with a comb perforation of 14.0 x 13.9 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The sheets measure 185mm x 118mm and were produced by Printex Ltd in the offset process. The issue consists of 60,000 of the €0.30 stamp, 130,000 of the €0.59 and 36,000 of the €1.25 stamp. The stamps set is designed by MaltaPost Creative Studio.
This philatelic issue will be available from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo as from Thursday 9th July 2020. Orders may be placed online at www.maltaphilately.com or by mail from the Philatelic Bureau, MaltaPost p.l.c. 305, Qormi Road, Marsa, MTP 1001; Telephone: 2596 1740, e-mail: info@maltaphilately.com
