On the 14 of February, MaltaPost will issue the second series of stamps from the Old Residential Houses issue. This philatelic stamp issue consists of 4 stamps, two of which feature the front and back facades of Villa Francia in Lija, one of an old medieval house situated in Mdina and the other of Villa Gourgion which is also situated in Ħal Lija. Photographs are taken by Angela Spiteri.
The stamps will be issued in a sheet of 10 stamps, with each stamp measuring 44mm x 31mm, having a comb perforation of 14.0 x 13.9 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The sheets measure 185mm x 114mm and were printed in the offset process by Printex Ltd. The issue consists of 100,000 of the €0.20 stamp, 800,000 of the €0.30 stamp, 200,000 of the €0.59 stamp and 80,000 of the €2.00 stamp.
The set will be available for sale as from Friday 14th February 2020 from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo.
