On the 20th of July 2019, MaltaPost will issue a miniature sheet featuring a stamp commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the historic landing of man on the Moon.
16,000 miniature sheets will be issued and the stamp measures 49mm x 40.5mm, with a comb perforation of 14.2 x 14.2 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The miniature sheets measure 120mm x 80mm and were produced by Printex Ltd in the offset process and carry a face value of €2.28.
The design of the miniature sheet is by Aidan Cassar and is an artistic rendition of a Moon landing as it would or could appear in the present day. It does not seek to replicate the actual 1969 historical event.
