To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Sette Giugno 1919 events, MaltaPost will on the 6th June 2019, issue a miniature sheet bearing one stamp.
Sette Giugno is one of Malta's national days celebrated annually on the 7th of June, to mark the events that took place on the same day of June 1919, when riots, precipitated by the economic state of Malta post-World War I,resulted in the death of four civilian protestors following shooting by British servicemen.
The stamp carries a face value of €5.59 and measures 31mm x 44mm with a perforation of 13.9 x 14.0. The miniature sheet measures 120mm x 80mm and bears the Maltese Cross watermark. Printex Limited printed it in offset and the issue consists of 16,000. The stamp and miniature sheet have been designed by MaltaPost.
This philatelic issue will be available from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo as from Thursday 6th June 2019.
