MaltaPost p.l.c. will be participating in the 14th Maltex Philatelic Exhibition 2013 which is being organized by the Malta Philatelic Society and supported by MaltaPost.

For this special event the Philatelic Bureau will be issuing an Occasion Card, a Postal Card, Maltex Personalised Cover and Personalised Stamp. The Occasion Card shows the image Triton Fountain - Floriana with the imprinted stamp from the set ‘Treasures of Malta - Fountains', while the Postal Card depicts the image of the Lambretta threewheeler with the imprinted stamp from the set ‘EUROPA 2013 ‘The Postman Van". The Personalised Cover features the Maltex Logo.
Both cards will be available in mint and cancelled condition as from Friday 18 October from the MaltaPost stand at the Maltex Exhibition, all Post Offices, and from the Philatelic Bureau. A temporary letter box service will also be provided during the opening hours of the Exhibition. The cards and mail posted will be cancelled with the Maltex special handstamp inscribed Maltex 2013 18-20 October Hotel Phoenicia - Floriana - Malta. The special hand stamp will carry the Logo of the Exhibition.

The Maltex 2013 Philatelic Exhibition will be held at the Phoenicia Hotel Floriana and will be open to the general public on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 October between 09.00 and 18.00 and on Sunday 20 October between 09.00 and 12.00. The artist Cedric Galea Pirotta who designed the artworks for the "Malta Buses -'The End of an Era- Series II' " and "Treasures of Malta - Fountains" stamp sets will be in attendance on Saturday 19 October between 14:00hrs - 18:00hrs.
