As the winners of the MaltaPost Christmas Competition found out recently, the early bird really does catch the worm.

Prizes for the Post Early Leaflet Competition, which encouraged clients to post their mail early during the Christmas period, went to Evelyn Mizzi, Josianne Galea, and Maria DeBono. Each was presented with their gifts during a prize-giving ceremony held at the University Campus Post Office.

"This competition was created to motivate clients during our busiest period," said Joseph Gafá, CEO at MaltaPost. "During the Christmas rush, mail traffic increases to three times the average volume. Thus, customer diligence helps us to maintain our high standards when it comes to delivery performance."

The prizes included an HP Compaq Netbook, The Malta Stamp Collection 1964 - 2004, and One4All Gift Vouchers. They were presented by Mr Gafà, Charles Saliba of Fexserv and Audrey Farrugia of Kinetix.
