Head Risk Management
Reporting to the Audit & Risk Committee and the company's Chief Executive Officer, the jobholder will:
• promote a culture within the organisation that supports intelligent risk taking and risk-based decision making;
• provide the necessary guidance to ensure that the Company has a robust risk management framework that meets all relevant legislative obligations whilst also managing the risks the Company faces.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement risk management initiatives within MaltaPost plc and its subsidiaries,
• Work closely with senior management in the identification of key risks, the design of controls and the implementation of mitigating measures;
• Coordinate the Company's risk management process culminating in the annual top risks review;
• Conduct periodical Risk Assessments in collaboration with management to ensure robustness of existing controls and the identification of possible new material risks;
• Implement measures which ensure appropriate management of exposures to current and emerging risks, in a commercially focused and practical manner;
• Ensure that all risks are identified, assessed, measured, monitored, managed and properly reported by the relevant units in the company;
• Coordinate the periodic review and testing of the Company's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Management plans;
• Evaluate existing policies and procedures to identify any weaknesses;
• Provide relevant information reports, analysis and recommendations to support the leadership team on the overall management of risk exposures
• Prepare regular updates and recommendations to Senior Management and the Audit and Risk Committee.
The successful candidate would:
• Preferably hold a degree in a management related area;
• Preferably have at least 3 years' experience in a similar post ideally working within a large organisation;
• Possess strong analytical and communication skills (written and verbal) in Maltese and English.
