Do you need to make a local payment?

If you don't have a chequebook, your local Post Office can settle payments on your behalf by means of a Local Money Order. All you have to do is provide the name and address of the person/entity paying, as well as of the details of the person receiving the funds.

The following commissions will be paid by the sender:

For amounts not exceeding €50 - €3.00

For amounts exceeding €50 up to €600 - €3.75

Cancellation of Local Money Orders

For the cancellation of Local Money Orders a €10 processing fee applies. The fee applies in all instances of cancellation, whether the Money Order is lost, stolen, expired or simply cancelled.
