Sending an Item of Value to the UK
In order to attain full border controls on imports from the EU, the UK introduced 3 key changes in the Tax regime between the United Kingdom and the European Union.
- It is now Mandatory to provide electronic customs data
- The Low Value Consignment Relief is now removed on commercial goods.
- A new VAT scheme is now applicable for commercial items valued between £0 and £135

Buying goods from the UK
Following the UK's exit from the EU, Customs controls, including any possible payment of VAT, duties and Customs' processing fees, are now applicable when purchasing goods from the UK. For this reason, as from 1st January 2021, all goods purchased from the UK through our SendOn UK service will be required to be declared.
