MaltaPost has once again teamed up with Wicked Comics to issue a new set of contemporary stamps related to comic art in Malta. This new set features a selection of three artworks taken from "Impressions of an island", the Malta Comic Con artbook which is a local publication issued by Heritage Malta in collaboration with Wicked Comics. The book showcases a diversity of artistic impressions of Malta within the fantastical realm of comics.
The stamp issue depicts comic book adaptations of typical Maltese locations, illustrated by three renown international artists from the comic book industry - Ian Churchill, INKO and Martin Griffiths.
The new stamps will be issued in sheets of 10, with each stamp measuring 31mm x 44mm, a comb perforation 13.9 x 14.0 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The sheets measure 185mm x 118mm and were produced in the offset process by Printex Ltd. The issue consists of 200,000 of the €0.10 stamp, 30,000 of the €0.38 stamp and 30,000 of the €1.50 stamp.
The philatelic issue will be available from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo from Wednesday 25 October, 2023. MaltaPost reġgħet ingħaqdet ma' Wicked Comics biex toħroġ sett ġdid ta' bolli kontemporanji relatati mal-arti tal-komiks f'Malta. Dan is-sett ġdid fih għażla ta' tliet xogħlijiet artistiċi meħuda minn "Impressions of an Island", il-ktieb tal-arti tal-Malta Comic Con, pubblikazzjoni lokali maħruġa minn Heritage Malta b'kollaborazzjoni ma' Wicked Comics. Il-ktieb juri diversità ta' impressjonijiet artistiċi ta' Malta fi ħdan il-qasam meraviljuż tal-komiks.
Il-bolli l-ġodda juru addattamenti tal-komiks ta' postijiet tipiċi Maltin, illustrati minn tliet artisti rinomati mill-industrija nternazzjonali tal-komiks - Ian Churchill, INKO u Martin Griffiths.
Il-bolli l-ġodda se jinħarġu f'folji ta'għaxra, b'kull bolla tkun ta' daqs 31 mm x 44 mm, b'perforazzjoni ta' 13.9 x 14.0 u għandha "watermark" bis-salib ta' Malta. Kull folja hija ta' daqs 185 mm x 118 mm u ġiet stampata minn Printex Limited bi proċess offset.
