The Postal Union for the Mediterranean (PUMed) is a regional postal community with a mission to promote the collective interests of its members in the Euro-Mediterranean zone. This year, MaltaPost has again joined members of the Euromed Postal Joint Stamp Project in the issue of a new set of stamps bearing a common theme. The theme for 2023 is "Mediterranean Festivals" and in this regard MaltaPost has launched a new philatelic issue, consisting of two stamps, both related to fireworks activity in the Grand Harbour at Valletta during the International Fireworks Festival. The Malta Tourism Authority provided the photos, which were taken by Sebio Aquilina and Michele Agius.
Each stamp within the miniature sheet measures 35mm x 35mm, with a comb perforation of 13.75 x 13.75 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. Each miniature sheet measures 60mm x 60mm and was produced in the offset process by Printex Ltd. The issue consists of 12,000 miniature sheets with stamp denominations of €1.70 and €2.50.
The miniature sheets will be available from all Post Offices in Malta and Gozo from Monday 10 July 2023. L-Awtorità Maltija għat-Turiżmu pprovdiet ir-ritratti, li ttieħdu minn Sebio Aquilina u Michele Agius.
Kull bolla, fil-folja minjatura, hija ta' daqs 35 mm x 35 mm, b'perforazzjoni ta' 13.75 x 13.75 u għandha "watermark" bis-salib ta' Malta. Kull folja minjatura hija ta' daqs 60 mm x 60 mm u ġiet stampata minn Printex Limited bi proċess offset. Il-ħarġa tikkonsisti f'12,000 folja minjatura, b'denominazzjonijiet ta' €1.70 u €2.50.
