MaltaPost continues to invest in upgrading the services it offers to its clients with the opening of a new Post Office in the Civic Centre at G. Bessiera Street, Swieqi.

This Post Office is conveniently located at the centre of Swieqi within the local council premises. All postal services including collection of mail items, philately and numismatic products, encashment of Central Bank of Malta cheques, local and international money transfers, as well as a selection of stationery and greeting cards are available at this new Post Office. This Post Office has a smart and modern finish which is intended to provide a fresh experience to customers who visit it.

MaltaPost CEO Joseph Gafa' who officially inaugurated the Post Office today said that "As part of our ongoing commitment to deliver a high level of service and facilitate access to postal services, we plan to continue upgrading our retail network to be suited for both postal as well as financial services."

The mayor of Swieqi Noel Muscat who was present for this inauguration thanked MaltaPost and all those who contributed to the introduction of this Post Office "With the opening of this new Post Office, residents living within these areas now have convenient access for postal services within their locality" Mr Muscat explained.

The new Swieqi Post Office is open from Monday to Saturday between 7.30am and 12.45pm. A new public letter box has been installed near the entrance and mail will be collected after 7.00 pm between Monday and Friday and after 3.00 on Saturdays.
