On the 17th December 2020, MaltaPost will issue a miniature sheet bearing one stamp to commemorate the 250th anniversary from the birth of Ludwig Van Beethoven, who is acknowledged as one of the world's pioneers in classical music of the 18th/19th century.

Ludwig van Beethoven was born in December 1770 in the German city of Bonn. He shaped classical music, with over 722 compositions written over 40 years and brought forward a new era of Romanticism.

The stamp within the miniature sheet measures 49 mm x 40.5mm, with a comb perforation of 14.2 x 14.2 and bearing the Maltese Cross watermark. The miniature sheet itself measures 120 mm x 80 mm and was produced in the offset process by Printex Ltd. The issue, designed by Miguel Farrugia of MaltaPost, consists of 15,000 miniature sheets with each sheet bearing a value of €2.30.

As from Thursday 17 December 2020, this philatelic issue will be available from all post offices in Malta and Gozo. Ludwig van Beethoven twieled f'Diċembru fis-sena 1770 fil-belt ta Bonn ġewwa l-Ġermanja. Hu magħruf bħala dak li fforma il-mużika klassika, b'kompożizzjoni ta' aktar minn 722 miktuba fuq medda ta' 40 sena u kien wkoll bħala dak li ressaq era ġdida ta' Romantiċiżmu.

Din il-ħarġa se tikonsisti f'bolla waħda li se toħroġ f'miniature sheet. Din il-bolla hija ta' daqs 49mm x 40.5mm, b'perforazzoni ta' 14.2 x 14.2 u għandha watermark bis-salib ta' Malta. Il-miniature sheet hija ta' daqs 120 mm x 80 mm u ġiet ipprintjata minn Printex Limited bi proċess offset. Il-bolla u l-miniature sheet ġew iddisinjati minn Miguel Farruġia mill-MaltaPost u se tikkonsisti f'15,000 miniature sheet u kull waħda għandha valur ta' €2.30.
